Maureen Goodman, APN
Maureen is an Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in adult psychiatry with expertise in anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She is trained to provide a wide range of mental health services to patients and their families. Incorporating both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, she practices a holistic approach to address each patient’s presenting issue(s). Maureen is able to effectively engage patients through her warm and empathic approach. By establishing collaborative, therapeutic relationships, Maureen individualizes each patient’s course of treatment to maximize their ability to achieve their goals.
Prior to joining Cohesive Health and Wellness, Maureen first gained experience in psychopharmacology working in the psychiatric department at HUMC, providing both in inpatient and C/L services, before working with Dr. Zhivago in private practice for eight years.
Maureen spent over a decade at Hackensack University Medical Center working as an RN in the Emergency Trauma Department, Coronary Care Unit, and Cardiac Rehabilitation Department. After working many years in Critical Care, Maureen realized the power the mind has over the body and went on to pursue her advanced practice degree in Adult Psychiatry/Mental Health. She has also received Mind/Body training at Harvard Mind/Body Medicine and completed specialized Wellness Coach training. Maureen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Master of Science in Nursing at Rutgers University. She is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
